MPH Electronic Portfolio Introduction

Hi! My name is Jason Lim and I would like to welcome you to my efolio! This efolio will highlight the skills, experiences, and competencies I have gained in the Master's in Public Health program at San Francisco State University.
In my experience working with children and adolescents from a variety of backgrounds, including economically disadvantaged children, teens diagnosed with mental illnesses, and teens living in a clinical therapeutic milieu, a reoccurring theme is the lack of information they have about sex, and more specifically, the lack of accurate information about sex. This issue concerns me deeply; as a result, I entered the MPH program to develop leadership skills to better address a wide range of issues including decreasing unwanted pregnancies, decreasing sexually transmitted infections, and enhancing access to sex information. Three years later, in 2007, I completed my degree with the training and education I was seeking to address sexuality issues.
